Criminal Minds Wikipedia
Originally, the series centered on Jason Gideon (Mandy Patinkin), Aaron "Hotch" Hotchner (Thomas Gibson) and the rest of the BAU team. For the first season, that included Elle Greenaway (Lola Glaudini), Derek Morgan (Shemar Moore), Spencer Reid (Matthew Gray Gubler), Jennifer Jareau, or "JJ" (A. J. Cook), and Penelope Garcia (Kirsten Vangsness).
During the second season, Elle Greenaway (Lola Glaudini) left after the sixth episode, "The Boogeyman", and Emily Prentiss (Paget Brewster) replaced her in the ninth episode, "The Last Word", surprising both Agent Hotchner and Agent Gideon. At the beginning of the third season, Jason Gideon (Mandy Patinkin) departed after two episodes, making his last appearance in "In Name and Blood". After several episodes, David Rossi (Joe Mantegna) came out of retirement in episode six, "About Face", to replace him. During the sixth season, JJ (A.J. Cook) left after the second episode, "JJ".
The show employs the use of the idiom "Unsub", that stands for "Unknown Subject" of an investigation.
Criminal Minds IMDB
In this crime series, a crack team of FBI profilers fly from Quantico to the focal point of the criminal activity of various serial killers. There they investigate the evidence from the crime scenes, compose a profile and try to prevent the next fatal strike. Top brain is academic Jason Gideon, with his more by-the-book operational right hand man Aaron "Hotch" Hotchner. The still juvenile Dr. Spencer Reid is an erudite on everything except real life, Penelope Garcia a brilliant computer whiz who gets access to any database etc. As they are mobile, cooperation with local police and FBI agents is important but often poses jurisdictional and other problems, as do some witnesses and suspects.
Criminal Minds TV Guide
A procedural thriller about the FBI's Behavioral Analysis Unit, which profiles criminals to solve crimes. The ensemble drama relies on the diversity of the team, which includes a young genius and a seasoned leader tortured by a past case. Unlike other crime dramas that focus on science, this series is very cerebral and almost Holmesian in its deductive analysis of the crimes and their perpetrators.

David Rossi (Joe Mantegna) comes out of retirement to help the the Behavioral Analysis Unit lead by Aaron Hotchner (Thomas Gibson), a family man who's able to gain people's trust and unlock their secrets. Also on the team are Emily Prentiss (Paget Brewster), the daughter of an ambassador and a surprise addition that neither Hotchner or Gideon signed off on; Derek Morgan (Shemar Moore), an expert in obsessional crimes; Dr. Spencer Reid (Matthew Gray Gubler), a classical misunderstood genius whose social IQ is as low as his intellectual IQ is high; and Jennifer 'JJ' Jareau (A.J. Cook), a confident young agent who acts as the unit liaison for the team. Also helping the team is Penelope Garcia (Kirsten Vangsness), the team's audio/visual technician.
Each member brings their own area of expertise to the table as they pinpoint predators' motivations and identify their emotional triggers in an attempt to stop them.Opening Theme Season
