Blue Bloods Wikipedia
The series follows the Reagan family of police officers with the New York City Police Department. Francis "Frank" Reagan (Tom Selleck) is the Police Commissioner, who is widowed with three grown children: Danny, Erin, Jamie, and another son who died. Danny (Donnie Wahlberg) is a top NYPD detective but is sometimes hard-nosed and does not always go by the book. Erin (Bridget Moynahan) is an assistant district attorney who prosecutes many of the criminals Danny arrests. Jamie (Will Estes) is a recent graduate of Harvard Law School and is a rookie officer on the police force after graduating from the police academy. Henry (Len Cariou) is Frank's father and a retired police commissioner who usually provides advice to his son and grandchildren. It is believed that Frank's son, Joe, who died in the line of duty, was involved with the FBI investigating a group of dirty cops and his death might have something to do with it. The FBI is now trying to recruit Jamie to pick up Joe's investigation, but Jamie is still unsure if he should.
Other characters include Kelly (Andrea Roth), a reporter Frank is dating who is always trying to get the story before Frank wants the public to know about it. Danny is married to Linda (Amy Carlson) and they have two sons. Jamie was engaged to Sydney (Dylan Moore), a fellow Harvard graduate who has recently broken off their engagement; and Erin is going through a divorce and has one daughter, Nikki. Jamie's field training officer is Sergeant Anthony Renzulli (Nicholas Turturro).

Blue Bloods is a new CBS police drama by Robin Green and Mitchell Burgess, known for their work on the long running HBO drama 'The Sopranos'. The show follows the lives of the multi-generational Reagan family (Tom Selleck as Frank Reagan, Bridget Moynahan as Erin Reagan, Donnie Wahlberg as Danny Reagan) and their dedication to the New York City Police Department. Although being a tight-knit family, you may find that the Reagans have very different ideas of how to gain justice. But they have one thing in common: they'll stop at nothing to see justice served; because their occupation is more than just a job, it's the family business.
Blue Bloods TV Rage
BLUE BLOODS is a drama about a multi-generational family of cops dedicated to New York City law enforcement. Frank Reagan (Tom Selleck) is the New York Chief of Police and patriarch of the Reagan brood, which he heads as diplomatically as he does the force, even when dealing with the politics that plagued his unapologetically bold father, Henry (Len Cariou), during his stint as Chief. A source of pride and concern for Frank is his eldest son Danny (Donnie Wahlberg), a seasoned detective, family man and Iraqi War vet who on occasion uses dubious tactics to solve cases. The sole Reagan woman in the family, Erin (Bridget Moynahan), is a N.Y. Assistant D.A. and newly single parent, who also serves as the legal compass for her siblings and father. Jamie (Will Estes) is the youngest Reagan, fresh out of Harvard Law and the family's "golden boy." However, unable to deny the family tradition, Jamie decided to give up a lucrative future in law and is now a newly minted cop, a career change seemingly supported by his beautiful girlfriend, Sydney Davenport (Dylan Moore), a first year lawyer. Jamie's life takes an abrupt turn, however, when he's asked to become part of a clandestine police investigation even his father knows nothing about, and one that could impact the family's legacy. Emmy Award winners Mitchell Burgess, Robin Green and Leonard Goldberg are executive producers for CBS Television Studios. (Source: CBS Press release
